Orlando Boat marina - Xperience Florida Marine

Orlando Boat marina - Xperience Florida Marine

It’s the universally famous home of Disney World of course, but what else can be found in The Theme Park Capital of the World? Keep reading to learn more.

Discovery Cove
This lesser known but equally fun aquatic theme park is the perfect destination for those looking to get up close and personal with Florida’s marine life. Snorkel with bright tropical fish and spend lots of time in the water with beautiful dolphins. The experience is amazing and they offer photography packages to capture the special moments forever so you only have to worry about enjoying the animals. Lunch is included in the entry price and a free photo of your choice with the animals. Time will fly by during your visit here. One of the perks of this water park is that there will virtually never be crowds to contend with at the different stations. That means more time with the animals and a more personalized experience, with no interminable lines that are so common at other Orlando theme parks. The facilities are excellent and if you so choose, you can plan your stay in their private cabanas.

iFly Orlando
Adrenaline junkies and thrill seekers will particularly love this unique experience. iFly Orlando is the city’s only indoor skydiving facility. The conditions are exactly those of a real skydive, without the part where you have to jump from a plane of course. The vertical air current creates a cushion of air in which you can float on, with much less risk than real skydiving. The feeling of the free fall and the exhilaration however, will be exactly the same. Everyone from ages 3 to 103 can enjoy this activity. The instructors are experienced, professional and will make even the most nervous member of the group feel safe. The sensation of flying is exactly the same as in a real skydive and it is well worth the visit.

La Nouba-Cirque du Soleil
Cirque du Soleil shows are known worldwide for their acrobatic feats, artistry, talent and creativity. La Nouba is no exception. This exclusive show is performed only in Disney, but among all the other activities the theme park offers, it is often overlooked. That is a shame because La Nouba has been critically acclaimed as one of the best Cirque du Soleil shows, a truly breathtaking experience.

The 90 minutes will pass by in a blur as your eyes absorb the valiant acts taking place simultaneously. This is a very fast paced show and there is not a moment for the audience to get bored. The theatre is not as huge as some of the other venues, so you can be assured you will be able to enjoy the performance no matter your seat.

World of Chocolate Museum and Café Chocolate
lovers will be delighted in visiting this place, which is to say, nearly everyone. The museum features huge chocolate sculptures, as intricate and fantastic as any made in marble or bronze. The artwork displayed is mostly imported from Europe and over 25 artists have contributed to making the delicious creations. There are also chocolate making classes and a specialty store and café which contain a dizzying variety of chocolates from all corners of the world, in all shapes, sizes and flavors. It’s the perfect place to buy a keepsake for the chocoholic in your life, or maybe yourself! This museum is a unique experience that you are unlikely to find anywhere else.

Thorton Park
This trendy neighborhood in downtown Orlando has much to offer in the way of nightlife, dining and culture. It’s easy to get around on foot and it’s a great reprieve from the hustle and bustle of the theme parks and touristy areas of the city. Lake Eola and the surrounding park are a great backdrop to the spectacular bars, restaurants and shops in the area. Music, food and wine festivals are a common, almost weekly occurrence. There is a farmers market on Sundays and it’s the perfect place to meet the locals, chill out, try craft beers or just have a laid back time with friends. It’s a very safe neighborhood so you can always feel at ease as you browse the crafts, clothes and odds and ends here.
