The 12th Annual Richmond Maritime Festival celebrates all things waterfront at the Britannia Shipyards National Historic Site. From wooden boats to model boats, water safety to sea creatures, local lore to fishing history, the festival invites visitors to explore a spectacular heritage site and enjoy music, games, interactive exhibits, roving performers, food and much more..

Photo ops abound! The entire Britannia Shipyards site is festooned with sails, flags, hand painted windsocks, giant fish, giant origami cranes, a red fish labyrinth, a spirit boat and many more colourful handmade elements including a couple of “stick-yer-head-through’s”: become Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum or one of the characters from the Owl and the Pussycat poem beautifully painted by a local artist.
