Exploring the Florida Keys; One of the best places in Florida for snorkeling is the Florida Keys. No matter if you don’t have experience on snorkeling, you’ll love the Keys because of its clear and warm water where you will find lots of corals and tropical fish. This is one of the favorite places for experience snorkelers.The Florida Keys are located in the southeast of the country. “They begin at the southeastern tip of the Florida peninsula, about 15 miles (24 km) south of Miami, and extend in a gentle arc south-southwest and then westward to Key West, the westernmost of the inhabited islands, and on to the uninhabited Dry Tortugas”. You can find lots of spots in the Keys, but here are our favorite ones:

Biscayne Bay
Biscayne Bay is the largest national marine park and it is only accessible by boat. The park has more than 170,000 acres and its offshore portion includes the northernmost region of the Florida Reef, one of the largest coral reefs in the world.

Key Largo
Key Largo is an hour’s drive from South Florida’s two major airports. Key Largo is the perfect place for snorkeling for the quantity and variety of species that you are going to find, this is because the marine conservation that this place has had since 1960. Key Largo has been protected from spearfishing and coral collection for four decades and now it has six unique sanctuary preservation

areas.Red Reef Park
This spot is an artificial reef very close to the shore with approximately 10 feet of water with an extensive set of natural coral rocks, very good for beginners. Although there is a charge for parking ($16 weekdays – $18 weekends and holidays) you have to keep in mind that you don’t have to pay to go out on a boat to go snorkeling.
